Cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury (CIRI) is one of the main diseases leading to death and disability. Studying role mechanism drugs in mitigating CIRI great significance. In present study, effect formononetin from Trifolium pratense L. on oxidative stress, energy metabolism impairment inflammatory response after cerebral mice were investigated. Formononetin was extracted purified. The treated with for six days. Then, model established. After 24 h reperfusion, compared group, neurological deficit score, water content infarction rate significantly decreased, brain tissue nitric oxide malondialdehyde levels superoxide dismutase level increased, Na+-K+-ATPase, Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase Ca2+-ATPase activities tumor necrosis factor α, interleukin 1β 6 decreased. conclusion, can reduce tissues, thus mice.
